PA
Strength & Rigidity: High strength and stiffness; glass-filled grades even stronger
Wear & Friction: Good wear and abrasion resistance; moderate moisture absorption (1–2%)
Chemical & Water Resistance: Good chemical durability; hygroscopic
Temp Range: –45 °C to +110 °C (PA6) and higher
PE
Strength & Rigidity: Lower strength; flexible (especially LDPE)
Wear & Friction: Good impact resistance; less durable than POM/PA
Chemical & Water Resistance: Excellent water and chemical resistance
Temp Range: –73 °C to +80 °C (HDPE to LDPE)
PP
Strength & Rigidity: Moderate strength (~25–40 MPa); rigid yet flexible
Wear & Friction: Moderate wear resistance, slightly better than PE
Chemical & Water Resistance: Excellent acid/alkali resistance; very low water uptake
Temp Range: 0 °C to +100 °C (up to +104 °C)
POM
Strength & Rigidity: High tensile strength (~60–70 MPa); excellent dimensional stability
Wear & Friction: Exceptional wear resistance; low friction
Chemical & Water Resistance: Good resistance to solvents/oils; low moisture absorption
Temp Range: –40 °C to +95 °C (–43 °C to +95 °C)
