Steel Cord Rubber Belts

Built for Strength, Stability, and Long-Distance Heavy-Duty Transport
For long-distance, high-load conveying operations, nothing outperforms Leopard Intertrade’s Steel Cord Rubber Belts. Engineered for extreme tensile strength, minimal elongation, and enhanced durability, these belts are ideal for heavy-duty applications in mining, power generation, cement plants, ports, and quarrying operations.
Constructed using high-tensile galvanised steel cords, our belts feature low working elongation (<0.25%), high breaking strength (up to ST 7000), and superior fatigue resistance. The cords are embedded longitudinally in a single layer under precise tension, ensuring consistent alignment and structural integrity throughout the belt’s service life.
Each belt is reinforced with a special bonder rubber compound that maximises adhesion between cord and rubber, improves dynamic flexibility, and enhances thermal and chemical resistance, all while supporting smooth splicing. Our belts are also available with abrasion-resistant, heat-resistant, oil-resistant, or flame-retardant cover grades, conforming to international standards and site-specific demands.
High Breaking Strength
Available in ST 400 to ST 7000 with breaking strength up to 7000 kN/m. Suitable for overland conveyors and steep incline haulage.
Low Elongation & High Load Capacity
Working elongation <0.25% ensures efficient tension control and reduces take-up requirements.
Engineered for Harsh Environments
ensures efficient tension control and reduces take-up requirements.Resistant to impact, flex fatigue, and environment-specific threats such as oil, fire, or heat.
To improve belt survivability in high-impact and tear-prone environments, we offer optional rip protection systems:
Transverse Breaker Fabric (Breaker Ply)
This heavy-duty breaker layer is installed between the top cover and the cords. It uses flexible high-elongation transverse weft cords that absorb impact energy and significantly improve resistance against punctures and slitting.
-
Prevents longitudinal propagation of tears from sharp objects
-
Does not affect pulley diameter or belt troughability
-
Increases durability in high-impact loading zones
Rip Check Insertion Strips
Three 100 mm-wide rubberised steel strips reinforced with brass-plated cords are embedded transversely every 30–40 metres along the belt. These help resist slitting due to trapped materials or loading chute damage.
