TM80A Drum Motor

The TM80A is an asynchronous oil-immersed drum motor designed for conveying systems where installation space is limited and efficient power transmission is essential.


Its compact, integrated design makes it particularly suitable for:

  • Compact X-ray inspection systems

  • Packaging machinery

  • Dynamic weighing equipment

    Drum Motor Shell

    • Mild-steel crowned shell treated with anti-corrosion oil

    • Standard crowned shell with a machined non-slip surface for improved belt traction


    Gear Transmission

    • Precision-machined and honed gears manufactured to AGMA/DIN 6 standards for smooth, low-noise operation

    • Cast-aluminium gearbox construction


    Motor

    • AC asynchronous motor

    • Compatible with commonly used global voltages at 50 Hz or 60 Hz

    • Class F motor winding insulation

    • Integrated thermal protection

    • Oil-cooled electric motor

    • Minimum external cable length of 1.2 metres from the shaft


    Sealing System

    • Double-shaft sealing system

    • Protection rating of IP66/IP67


    Lubrication

    • Supplied pre-lubricated with oil

    • Oil change recommended after approximately 50,000 operating hours


    Additional Features & Options

    • Optional electromagnetic brake; shell length will increase accordingly

    • Belt speed and face width (L) available to customer requirements

    • CE and UL safety certification

    • Non-standard drum motor configurations available on request
